  6. "1. The first line, undivided, shows its subject free from all in- "
  7. "sincerity.  His advance will be accompanied with good fortune. "

  9. "2. The second line, divided, shows one who reaps without having "
  10. "ploughed (that he might reap), and gathers the produce of his third "
  11. "year's field without having cultivated them the first year for that "
  12. "end.  To such a one there will be advantage in whatever direction "
  13. "he may move. "

  15. "3. The third line, divided, shows calamity happening to one who is "
  16. "free from insincerity;-as in the case of an ox that has been tied up. "
  17. "A passer by finds it (and carries it off), while the people in the "
  18. "neighborhood have the calamity (of being accused and apprehended). "

  20. "4. The fourth line, undivided, shows (a case) in which, if its "
  21. "subject can remain firm and correct, there will be no error. "
  22. "                                                                   "
  23. "5. The fifth line, undivided, shows one who is free from insincerity, "
  24. "and yet has fallen ill.  Let him not use medicine, and he will have "
  25. "occasion for joy (in his recovery). "

  27. "6. The topmost line, undivided, shows its subject free from "
  28. "insincerity, yet sure to fall into error, if he takes action.  (His "
  29. "action) will not be advantageous in any way. "
